Special Scholarship
Award – Application information.

Scholarships are
awarded to residents of Trinity County who are pursuing a nursing or
technical degree and other special circumstances.

This is a special
scholarship and therefore not awarded annually. This scholarship is
intended to give our older students a chance of training or retraining
in a specialized technical field.

$500.00 will be
awarded directly to the student.

Eligibility: Must be
age 20 and older and a resident of Trinity County for past five years.

Must be age 20 and
older.

A resident of
Trinity County for past five years.

Be enrolled in an
accredited school.
Application Process

Fill out VFW
application form.
-
Submit a letter of
acceptance from the Technical School or a transcript if already
enrolled.

The Scholarship
Committee will review and verify the information on the application.

The committee will
submit the application with its recommendation to the members for a vote
at the next monthly meeting or as soon as possible.

This special
scholarship is awarded one-time only but can be renewed the following
semester if monies are available by submitting your transcript to the
Scholarship Committee.

The Scholarship
Committee will submit its recommendation to the members for a vote at
the next regular meeting.
