VFW Family Scholarship Program

Special Scholarships are awarded to students whose grandparents/parents are members of VFW Post 6899 and its Ladies Auxiliary. The scholarship is awarded annually - three (3) $500 scholarships. 

Application Process 

•  Fill out a VFW Application form.

• Submit letter of acceptance or current college transcript.
• Student must be child/grandchild of a member of VFW Post 6899 or Ladies Auxiliary or deceased member of our post.

• All eligible students may enter each year.

How and When to Apply? 

• The application period begins June 1 and the deadline is July 31 of each year for the upcoming fall academic year.
• Submit completed applications to “Scholarship Committee”, VFW Post 6899, P.O. Box 883, Trinity, TX 75862.
• Applications received after July 31^st will not be considered.

How is the scholarship award determined?

• The scholarship awards will be determined by a drawing at the regular August meeting of the VFW Post 6899.

• The winner will be notified by mail and/or phone call.
